- Padova University Press
The publisher
Padua University Press was established with the aim of selecting and publishing academic knowledge in a broad sense, giving maximum visibility to the results of teaching and research in the University. Padua University Press sees scientific popularization as the tool to engage people, to make itself known, and to give correct information, concepts and expertise on known and unknown topics and disciplines.
Padova University Press was established with the intent to select and publish the outcomes of academic work in its broadest and most diverse forms, welcoming into its journal portfolio and book series the results of research conducted within the university, while at the same time remaining open to proposals and projects developed outside the University of Padova.
As the expression of a university that encompasses an exceptionally wide range of scientific interests and a broad disciplinary scope, Padova UP seeks to move beyond the narrow and reductive logic of a "print center" or "academic service print shop," aspiring instead to define itself as a fully-rounded entity with a well-defined identity: a complete publishing house whose editorial directions take shape and are critically and dynamically redefined through the collections and periodical publications that make up its catalog.
